Pricing
Straightforward starting prices for computer repair, home tech help, and small business support.
Clear pricing before major work
Pricing should be clear before work begins.
I’ll explain the expected labor, parts, and next steps before major work moves forward. Some jobs have flat starting prices, while larger projects are quoted before scheduling the work.
Service pricing
These are the main starting points for Tyler’s Tech Services. Parts, unusual repairs, and larger projects are confirmed before work continues.
Appointment Deposit
$75
May be requested to reserve an appointment. The deposit helps confirm the scheduled time and may apply toward approved service when applicable.
Popular for drop-offs
Full System Repair
$130
For scheduled drop-off computer repairs involving software issues, tune-ups, cleanup, Windows problems, and many general troubleshooting situations. Labor is covered until I find a solution or identify the issue and you decide whether to continue.
Hardware Repair Labor
$165 labor
For laptop screens, keyboards, charging ports, batteries, fans, and other hardware repairs. Parts are separate and confirmed before ordering.
On-Site Help
$160 first 2 hours
For home or business visits involving printers, Wi-Fi, setup, routers, networking, devices, or issues that need to be handled in person. Additional time is $60/hour.
Remote Support
By appointment
Some software, account, email, and basic support issues may be handled remotely when an in-person visit is not needed.
Project Work
Custom quote
For larger jobs such as business technology projects, router replacement with device reconnection, websites, Microsoft 365, networking, automation, or AI workflows.
These are starting points, not rigid plans. Parts are separate unless noted, and I’ll confirm pricing before major work begins.
What these prices mean
Starting prices, not surprise prices
The prices above are common starting points. If something changes the scope, I’ll explain it before moving forward.
Parts are separate
Replacement screens, keyboards, batteries, chargers, drives, routers, and other parts are quoted before ordering or installing.
Approval before major work
If the repair or project needs parts, extra time, or a different approach, I’ll explain the options first.
Not every repair makes sense
If replacement is the better option, I’ll tell you before you spend more than you should.
Choosing the right type of service
Drop-Off Repair
Best for: Laptops, desktops, software issues, tune-ups, Windows problems, hardware repairs, and anything that needs testing.
Drop-off is usually best when a computer needs extended troubleshooting, parts, cleanup, or verification after repair.
On-Site Help
Best for: Printers, Wi-Fi, routers, new computer setup, smart devices, and issues tied to your home or office setup.
On-site help starts at $160 for the first two hours, then $60/hour after that.
Remote Support
Best for: Some software, email, account, setup, and guidance issues that do not require hands-on access to equipment.
Remote support is scheduled when it makes sense for the issue.
Project Work
Best for: Larger business work, router replacement with device reconnection, Microsoft 365, websites, networking, automation, and AI workflows.
Project work is scoped and quoted before major work begins.
Parts and extra work are confirmed first.
Some repairs need replacement parts or extra time. I’ll confirm the part, price, and labor path before ordering or installing anything.
- Screens, keyboards, batteries, chargers, drives, and routers are quoted before ordering
- Parts availability can affect timing
- Some parts may require a deposit before ordering
- Extra time or project work is discussed before continuing
- If the device is not worth repairing, I’ll explain that clearly
Honest pricing, practical advice
If it is not worth fixing, I’ll tell you.
Some devices are worth repairing. Some are not. My goal is to help you make the right decision before spending money on parts, labor, or a larger project.
- Clear pricing before major work begins
- No surprise parts orders
- Honest repair vs replacement advice
- Practical options before buying new equipment
- Project work scoped before major changes
Pricing questions
Does the $75 appointment deposit apply to the service?
The deposit may be requested to reserve your appointment and may apply toward approved service when applicable. I’ll explain how it applies before scheduling.
What does the $130 Full System Repair cover?
It covers labor for many scheduled drop-off computer repairs involving software issues, tune-ups, cleanup, Windows problems, and general troubleshooting. If parts or a separate hardware repair are needed, I’ll explain that before moving forward.
Are parts included in repair labor?
No. Parts are separate unless specifically noted. I’ll confirm part pricing before ordering or installing anything.
What does on-site service cost?
On-site help starts at $160 for the first two hours. Additional time after the first two hours is $60/hour.
When is work quoted instead of flat priced?
